Vidblaster team, I need some help and am ready to take the next step - after trying to make this work with my old computer - and will be venturing within days on a new system. Keep in mind that I do not know as much as this universe on all of the technical in's and out's of this technology, but I do feel that I have enough support by posting on this site. I am still using a trial version, but am interested in a purchase of the program on behalf of a non-profit community-based org. I just want to make all of the components work, and I have to keep within budget.

So I would like to start with this first question relating to the purchase of a system that will allow for me to stream video, and I am looking at a three-cam shot. Two cams will be usb (I have a Microsoft Livecam, but for some reason I am becoming growingly uncomfortable with this cam). The other camera I am looking to get is mostly for field purposes and I am close to getting this one: http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-AG-HVX200A-Definition-Camcorder-Included/dp/B0018C72E6

I don't want to get too ahead of myself. No matter what cameras I settle on, without a strong backbone and computer - none of this will matter.

So I am asking for some advice here on the computer system. I am looking at this computer: HP E9280T I7-950 3.06GHZ 12GB BLU-RAY WRITER DESKTOP PC

The spec on the PC looks pretty good, dependant on price, but I would make a few changes either before or after purchase.

I would change the audio card for an M-Audio Delta 1010LT, or at least add it, as it gives far more options for input and output, working beautifully with an external mixer and every application I have tried.

I would have a raid, 2 hard drives mirrored or 4 striped and mirror, for security of data.

The camera look nice but my choice at the monmet would be the Sony HVR-1000 (http://www.amazon.com/Sony-HVR-HD1000U-Definition-Camcorder-Optical/dp/B0010T7J18/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1277399864&sr=1-1) as it is of good spec and only $1200.

The price should remain around $2.5k.

I like the audio card suggestion.

Unfortunately, I need a camera with XLR.

Thank you for responding.
