Hi,

Can anybody please help me with this... I just bought a blackmagic intensity pro card and i am having problem with it in Vidblaster with my Canon HG10

Vidblaster can see it quite alright, but when my camera is plugged it wont come out with any picture, but should i connect my Canon FS100, it will come up with a Video.

Any help from the forum gurus who are more verse with the Card?

Nice job here Mike...

Use VCAM to pickup the camera and then select the VCAM output in VidBlaster. You add another piece of software to the mix, but you'll be very happy with the results. I do this with my Sony HDR cam (which is connected via HDMI) and it's amazing. I haven't had much luck getting the BMIPro to work with my cameras in VB. I believe it's mostly due to BM drivers.

Since v1.19 the DeckLink cards work fine, do a Search and read the Help for more details (as they are a little picky). The trick is to set the correct frame rate in the Camera module and choose a supported resolution.

Where do I get 1.19? When I download the demo I get 1.17.

Also I faxed a PO in yesterday, when should I expect my license key?

It was not obvious, but I did find the 1.19 version. Now to see if my issues are resolved

I google it, but got to know its a virtual cam... do i hv to run two separate programmes? I do not get good quality pictures from my canon HG10 cameras...

As you all know I do not mind if other software is promoted on this forum, but I think it's time to end this discussion as it is outdated. The latest versions of VidBlaster fully support the DeckLink cards and there is no need to use 3rd party software, in fact I highly recommend against it.

Thanks Mike and everyone that did contributed to this, I 100% support what Mike said up there, I in person wouldn't want to complicate issues by running too many software to achieve a simple task.

Having said that... I am still having serious issue with my BM intensity Pro in Vidblaster... Vidblaster can see the "Decklink Video Capture", but no picture/image/video shown... and if I close Vidblaster to run Adobe Flash Media Encoder 3, the BM will work perfectly.

Can somebody help in pointing me to the right direction?

Since I have been testing version 1.21 on my i7 920 12GB system without connecting any of my camera, my CPU resources is now between 23 & 25% and when Cameras are plugged in, it doubles...

I have again re-installed Vidblaster and BM has started working again... I hope it wont stop should i shut down the system later.

Am I doing something unreal here please?

Regards,

Mike

It's very simple (and I describe this in the Help), the card only works if you set it to the exact same resolution and frame rate as the signal you apply. Change anything even slightly, and it just doesn't work.

Thanks Mike for this quick response, i finally got it working after hours of battling with it... I uninstalled Vidblaster, removed all the folders, then re-install Vidblaster V1.21 again... and it came up working fine...

I sincerely hope it remains like that... don't wanna go through another stress again, the card is good, but the stress is too much.

WELL DONE MIKE!

I guess there is something wrong with my card... on restarting my PC now I started Vidblaster... and the BM no longer show any image... and i have not touched or adjusted anything whatsoever. on using FME3 it works ok
