I bought a copy of VidBlaster Home and am ALMOST happy with it. I would like to be able to enabled "high resolution" mode in software like Oovoo, Skype, Ustream.tv, etc. but home only goes to 320x240.

If I buy the Pro version, will it support 640x480 with a pair of HV30s over Firewire and support streaming that as well over those applications?

Thanks!

Pro supports high resolution internet streaming, which is 512*288. Note this is already very high and services like Ustream don't support this natively. Also you will need a faster machine, high upload bandwidth and a dedicated viewing page (see my news item on streaming highres widescreen on Ustream). You cannot use 640*480 for these reasons.

BTW: VidBlaster Pro is free to try. Just click Layout | Pro :)

Both Oovoo and Skype now support 640x480 streaming:

Ustream supports FME and thus can go well above 640x480

Stickam has FME support to some customers and all very soon

I know. But to get that resolution while maintaining a practical bandwidth, you need a too high compression and as a result loose your resolution. The only reason they offer this is for commercial reasons. That's why professionals like CNET and Leo Laporte don't use this (yet). This is a what's wise and what's commericial discussion that I am not going to pursue here.

If you like you can stream in 640*480 using VB Studio which will be out soon.
