Mike, I am new to the forums but I have to say that I absolutely LOVE your product. I am a chief meteorologist for the CBS affiliate in Greensboro, NC but I also started a tech blog on our station's website. I am going to post a review for Vidblaster and it will be GLOWING. I would love to be a beta tester for you and help in any way I can. I have 22 years in television and this is an awesome product. Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

Hi Eric, welcome to the forum and thank you for your kind words. Anything I can quote from professional users is much appreciated, so can't wait for that review. And I'm always interested to hear what you use the program for, or intend to use it for as I do not recognize your name so assume you have not bought it yet. Wish you were using it to present the weather, as some feedback about that would be superb for the upcoming VidBlaster Journal, which happens to be about chroma keying (improved keyer coming up).

PS: I had to move your post as it was posted in an existing (not relevant) topic, keep in mind this forum is one big archive so we need to keep it tidy.

I am using it for personal projects but will review it on my stations blog soon. If you need me to give it a try for streaming weather on my own I would be happy to help. Is there anyway we could work out a trade? A studio license for a chroma key review with me doing weather? Just a thought. Anyway. Once again I will post my tech review on my blog on www.digtriad.com in the upcoming day or so. Love Vidblaster.

Thanks, do tell us when the review is posted.

Trades for demos I only discuss after the demo is made and I have been able to see it. Obviously a demo has to be professional and make VidBlaster look good, and one person's idea of what is professional differs from another one's. Obviously your presenter skills are not an issue, and if you have access to the station's studio and graphics then I have little doubt we have a deal.

I will try to get you the demo as soon as possible. Should I FTP it to you? Better yet what if I just do it at work and post it on our blog. What would be easier for you?

Whatever you prefer, but make sure you have the hq original of the recording. Keep in mind that if you do not get the keying perfect (I assume lighting won't be a problem, but I do not know if you have access to a good camera) I do have an advanced keyer coming out that allows you to tweak all settings (instead of using the auto keyer). Especially under less than ideal circumstances this may make a difference. But it'll be several weeks at least before I can release it.

Mike, Can you give me optimal computer specs for Vidblaster. I am buying a computer in the next two months or so and was wondering about processor, vid card and ram. Thoughts?

Do a search on this forum, this has been asked and answered dozens of times and every time it is different as it depends on what you want to achieve.
