I'm running extensive tests on VidBlaster v1.22 (camera module has been partly rewritten) and have a problem which seems related to the DeckLink cards. I have been seeing both BSOD and irregular frame updates (hickups). The odd thing is that it seems to work either well, or has the hickups, as it it decides to cooperate or not. I have never noticed this before so assumed it was the new code, but I have gone back to v1.17 and still see the problem. Another camera connected via firewire is running HDV and has perfectly smooth frame updating, CPU usage is low.

Using component in @ 576i. Two cards are installed but using only one. I'm a bit bummed out as I just started to like these cards. Am I seeing a driver bug or a hardware problem, or am I missing something?

The BSOD was caused by an update of the driver for the Creative audio card (sigh), fixed by doing a system restore and blocking the upgrade.

At least that is what I thought, but it's still there.

Which card ? Is that the same as mine?
Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCIe?

Mine likes to lock up also so I haven't updated drivers for that reason. Should I wait to see what you get?

I'm still 32 bit Vista BTW

I am not sure if it is the audio card, it happens so rarely that I am still running tests to find the source. But yes, that's the card I have.
