View Full Version : [fixed] Streaming immediately aborts and frame rate

I recently noticed that the streamer module did not work for me as expected. It sort of started, but then shut of after a second or two. Reminded me of similar problems I had a year ago.

Seems it turns out that if the frame rate is not specified, the streamer stops working.

As far as I can remember the default profile for VidBlaster (after a new install, or loaded when VidBlaster i started with shift pressed down) set video resolution to 320x240 and 15 fps. But at least in 1.21 it does not set any frame rate.

I think it's a good idea to have the default profile set 15 fps. Also considering the idea to put up a feature request for video settings in VidBlasters window title, eg "VidBlaster Pro, 640x480 15fps".

Bug?

If you refer the the non-setting of fps in the default profile, I thought that perhaps it was by design...
Nowadays I am really vary for reporting bugs, so for me this is an issue under discussion.

:)

I consider this a bug report then. Or two actually.

Logically it can be only one bug. Because aborted streams due to unspecified fps can never occur if the fps is always set.

Whether by design or by accident, for a new user this can be a very frustrating condition. It has tripped me up a time or two.

I would consider this a 1.21 bug.

And I can confirm what Richard reports.
