Security resellers

Mike,

I noticed that you are looking for security resellers (http://www.vidblaster.com/resellers/resellers.html). What exactly are you wanting to do in this space?

The reason I ask is I have a good friend who owns a regional security company Dial One Security, Inc. (http://www.doges.com) and we often talk about value added services he can provide to his customers.

We are also in the middle of a much needed redesign of his web site and he is considering offering products and services to a national audience.

I would be more than happy to talk to him on your behalf - I just need to have an idea of what you want to accomplish and what the fit is with his business.

Several commented that VidBlaster can be used for (remote) security. As I could easily add some functionality (like motion detection and alerts) in the form of extra modules, I guess that means I have a new product at my hands. I do not know the market however, so need to work with someone who does. I prefer someone already active in this business, so he knows the market and can in fact be my first VidBlaster Security reseller.

Well he definitely knows the security space since he's been in it for 30 years - starting his company while in college. He's also pretty technically savvy and would have a good idea of what's already out there.

Let me bring it up next time we get together and see what he thinks.
