View Full Version : [done] Loop videos
Hi Mike!
First of all: your studio software is great!
I'd thought of a function to loop videos, for example, to create a endless graphical bed.
Would that be possible?
Thanks, bye.
Mart
Hallo Mart,
Welkom op het forum en dank je voor het compliment.
I've looked up your email address but could not figure out what you do and how you will be using VidBlaster. To best implement a feature, I'd like to know how you will be using it and what for. You say a graphical bed, like in part of the screen using the Video Effect module? Feel free to email or skype me direct, my site (http://mikeversteeg.com) has all the details.
Mike
I'd like this as well. My use would be to play a motion graphics video saying for example 'Going live at 18:00 CET', that is exactly 1 cycle, so if you could put it on a loop that would eliminate to the need to duplicate the video 500 times and play a gigantic videofile with loops built in that has a longer runtime.
Another use that I would definitely have a use fo re - looping video scenarios. An awards ceremony where a winner is announced. Your looping animation-video of a trophy spins around while you overlay the winners name . This gives them time to get to the podium to accept the award and then throw the camera one back on when they are in position. Many possibilities for this for sure.
Cheers
OK, I will look into this. It's not as easy as it sounds as your examples make it clear the loop needs to be without pause, i.e. I can't simply restart the video when it ends as there would be a pause (especially on slower systems). Does anyone have a video with a rotating logo or something, that makes it easy for me to test smooth looping?
Thanks.
Try this file (http://coverage.h2k-gaming.eu/loop2.mp4), the video isn't particularly special but the audio is a good indicator.
Good luck Mike, VLC can't loop smoothly on my system, Sony Vegas and Winamp however can so it'll be a challenge I bet. ;D
