Is there a way to stream a show live with VidBlaster?
Not yet. I have been trying to get ustream to give me their protocol but they won't respond. What service do you wish to use?

Mike currently I use UStream, but would love to have another option that offers better quality. UStream seems to have a ton of strema breaks and you have to adjust your settings to prevent more. In doing so the quality of your video is hurt in my mind.
Just in case you don't know, VidBlaster works well with WebCamMax.
Yes, ustream isn't perfect. If you've found a better service, ask them for their API and let me know.

Mike I currently stream my web radio program live over 2 shoutcast streams. We have recently decided to start doing the video with UStream.TV, but the quality is not good. I will keep looking for a streaming partner for you. I think that if you could have live streaming it would be a huge boost.
Thanks. PodShow is also looking into it, but no idea when and if they go live. Another alternative is to buy a streaming server, but it's costly.

What I have done for streaming is to get a Dedicated Server (http://www.vortechhosting.com) for about $75 (I also have other options on top of this price) monthly and it works great for me. I use the build in Windows 2003 Server streaming features...
Cool. Can you show me a demo of what you've created? How bandwidth do you get for this price, i.e. did you ever calculate how many viewers you can serve?

Has anything been done with this yet? Any features to allow live streaming?
Yes, it's available in the current release.

Mike am I right by thinking the only server you can use to stream live is a Windows Media Server? It also appears that you are responsible for getting your own stream, it is not included in the software.
It supports Windows Media format, as we discussed earlier. You will of course need to have access to a suitable provider or your own server for a WM publishing point. The WM format is used by most professionals, offers a much better quality and is much more stable than services like ustream. If you like to try it out then web sites like StreamWebTown (http://www.streamwebtown.com) offer a free publishing point for testing.
I found this http://www.mogulus.com
It seems like a good service I will ask if they have an API
MarkH, note this was a very old thread. For the past few months, VidBlaster is supporting every service in existence as it allows you to use the provider's client software as an intermediary for streaming. So services like Stickam, Ustream and indeed Mogulus are already supported. Read the help chapter about streaming.
