Hi Mike,

I am very impressed with Vidblaster! I have downloaded and tested Home, Pro and Studio. They are far more professionally written and much more functional than WebcamMax and certainly more reasonably priced than Tricaster. Well done!

I noticed a significant difference in the CPU usage when I installed Studio (.40). My CPU usage dropped 30-35% in the new Studio version as compared to the Pro version. Do you plan to make the same type of improvements to the Home and Pro versions?

Keep up the outstanding work!

Tom

Hi Tom,

Welcome to the forum, and thank you for your nice words!

Yes, CPU usage improvements will eventually find their way to all editions as they all share the same engine (core code).

This will indeed be a welcome improvement and worth waiting for.

Hi,
I'm not sure where to post this but: I have VidBlaster Pro v. 0.39. I'm seeing repeated releases of Studio lately. Will the Pro version see some of the features like dual resolutions (for streaming and recording) as in the Studio version?
Thanks!

Hi Alain,

Welcome to the forum!

Last Thursday we had a live discussion over at Ustream to talk about changes in Home and Pro, with an eye at what's been introduced in the latest Studio versions. I would have loved to see you there (as well as Bruce and Tom). I put out the call both as email to all my beta testers and through my twitter account.

I'm still working on the features list, trying to find a good compromise to what everyone wants and making a commercial program. In case you or anyone else wants to continue this discussion, I've started a thread at http://vidblaster.com/forum/index.php?topic=235.0.

Great Mike. When can we pro users get an upgrade which will improve cpu usage? And it would be a good idea to spell out the steps for upgrading and getting latest versions. If these instructions already exist somewhere, just point us. Thanks again.
