Please Mike. Not having to use Abobe FMLE for flash streaming will free about 30% CPU.

Thank you,

...and I think this will be the easiest to implement.

Thank you.

If you do a search on h264 you'll find many discussions about this, including my thoughts and reasons not to use this.

I spent two hours lost in searches, but still not getting to understand your reasons.
However Mike, you know better. I mean I have no idea about what it costs or copyrights, or whatever is keeping you from adding it. The fact is that we (lots of your otherwise excellent VB users) have to use AFLME just to be able to use H.264 encoder, which is killing the CPU though. I would prefer to upgrade my VB if H.264 would be an option there.

Regards,
Mike

Learn the search function, it is extremely powerful once you find all the advanced features. In short, h264 causes lots of sync issues and has very high CPU usage. VP6 is better, more stable, and uses less CPU. That is why I support that in the Streamer module.

Mike,
I am working with a lot of High Schools for streaming their games. We love the way Vid Blaster works for the production. We wish that we did not have to work with Adobe Live media encoder it seems that the schools just have problems. Is there any way to get the stream module to handle the coding h.264. This would be huge for our company. I currently have purchased 7 Pro versions and 11 Home version so as you can see we are very much a believer in Vid Blaster product. This H.264 ability would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know your thoughts we are at a crossroads as to how to move past Adobe. HELP

Im curious. how are you streaming the events ? Are you using FME along side Vidblaster?

I would like to see more flexible use of FMLE from inside VidBlaster. The ideal solution would be that all of FMLE features be selectable from inside VidBlaster.

When I stream to UstreamTV, I use FMLE and VidBlaster separately in order to use some of the feature and settings in FMLE that are not available for changing in VidBlaster alone. For example, if I want to use the H.264 streaming option to stream to UstreamTV, I cannot do that from inside VidBlaster using VidBlaster's built-in UstreamTV settings. I have to run FMLE separately in order to use the H.264 setting. It's the VP6 setting that VidBlaster tells FMLE to use with UstreamTV.

While its not a problem for me to use VidBlaster and FMLE separately, as I think about ways to expand my sports network with more PC and staff, the learning curve for new staff would be easier if they only have to learn VidBlaster. In fact, I could just build the profile and let them loose without having to worry about whether they'll screw something up trying to use FMLE.

Ideally it would be great to control all of FMLE features from inside VidBlaster.

Mmm.. Before this goes off topic: this is a feature request so just your votes here please.

Charlie, please do not create new feature requests if they already exist (see FAQ). I had to move your post to this thread.

Yes we are using FME and vid blaster as a virtual video device

I apologize I am new to the posting forum. I have understand you recommend V6, but I tried and V6 and it will not stream to Iphone's or I pad's. This is why i would like to have the H.264 in VB to get away from FME. PLease help me understand if there is another option.

Tom,
I agree i am having the same issue. As the market goes more mobile to my understanding the h.264 is the only option for apple devices. Not having to run FLME would be a great.

Charlie - a point of clarification. In my idea, FMLE would still need to be present and installed on the PC that runs VidBlaster. You would never see FMLE.

I did not know that. What is the purpose of having it if it is not running?

With apologies to the OP but I have to close this thread as it has gone off topic (despite several warnings).
