Hi there,

I am currently writing my bachelor thesis about Video-Audio Streaming over modern mobile networks. Therefore I also want to write about a Vidblaster setup for a liveshow featuring 2-3 cameras.
I wonder if anyone of you has a setup with 2-3 cameras and some experiences with this kind of setup.
I am interested of the kind of PC thats needed to stream a PAL Resolution with 25 Frames over the internet to ustream or Bambuser.
What Videocards do you use to connect 2-3 SDI cameras with your pc?

cheers Thomas

Hi Thomas,
Interesting! I really hope you share your findings with us. You will find your answers by searching/browsing the forum. Many of us have reported on that. As a matter of fact, you will probably find that search more useful, than simply asking for a typical/possible setup.
Good luck!

I certainly will!

I read in the forum, that it is best to load WMV Files. Does somebody know a good programm to convert Videofiles into the WMV Fileformat?
Perhaps Mike could give me more details of the used encoder in Vidblaster.

cheers

edit: I am also testing the max bandwidth of a HSUPA Connection using two 3G Sticks.Does somebody know if it's possibley to use two connections for one stream?
I would need a higher bitrate output though because it's limited to 1 MBit, which I already streamed using only one Stick.

Hey Everyone,

I am currently testing different video formats within VidBlaster. Mike mentioned that it's native Format is WMV. Actually I don't see any difference in performance using other file formats.

Tested with h.264, mpeg2, WMV 7/8 etc.

cheers

I've had issues with avi. I think it's just too large. OR maybe it's a user malfunction! Anyone else tried avi format?

But regardless, it's just as easy to convert to wmv for a smaller file.
