I sure would love an overlay combined with a generator to be able to make lower thirds on the fly with the VidBlaster program. There would be a possibility of choosing a colored line from left or right with a color picker and opacity and than a possibility to enter a Title and a subtitle. Man, that would make life much easier in live broadcasting. I have to make new overlays all day in FCP to have the broadcast look professional.

John, sorry to say this to you (who have shared so much).
But please, search around. This is (obviously) a pretty commen request, and pretty well discussed. One issue is how far VidBlaster should go in this direction (e.g. end up as a full blown FCP with livestreaming functionality, see eg http://forum.vidblaster.com/showthread.php?t=785 )

My current fix is to use Dropbox to connect my graphics production machine with the live production machine. This way I virtually save my graphic overlays into the directory the overlay module uses (although the drop down file selector can't be used is it is not updated when called upon, you need to right-click and open).

i tried several times to search for topics and thread for lower thirds, but the search option came out empty every time, that is why my post.

Creating graphics on the fly is not VidBlaster's task, although it may eventually become available from a 3rd party as they can write software that does this through VidBlaster's API.
