I installed adobe flash media encoder and vidblaster doesn't like the version from the posts I've seen. How to I get a version that will work with vidblaster? I am running windows 7 on a 64 bit machine.

Thanks,
Carol

Carol,

Use the link below to get FMLE 3.1 from Adobe. Don't be fooled by the heading on the page. You can select 3.1 (not 3.2) after you enter your Adobe User ID (or create one).

Good luck!

Tom,
I ran into this issue yesterday when preparing a new PC, as FMLE 3.2 was not recognized by VidBlaster. Searched around in the forum and found link's to the Vidblasterus.com's dowload page with different FMLE versions, as well as a tip on moving 3.2 apps into the 3.1 Windows folder (which I did, or rather renamed the folder).
Before posting a bug report on VidBlaster not recognizing Adobe FMLE installations correctly, do you have any comment?

Richard,

I think this was discussed here back when 3.2 was released. I'm on the way out the door, but I'll try a search for that later.

Thanks! If you mean this thread http://forum.vidblaster.com/showthread.php?t=861&highlight=fmle
it is not fixed, as the default folder appearantly changes with versions.

Unfortunately it is impossible to search for "3.2" (no hits), so I am asking humans instead ;)

You can use 3.2 , but you must have VB stream to a virtual output and run FME3.2 by it self while selecting VB as the input for FME3.2
By doing so I have noticed a slightly better image from FME on the encoded side

Perhaps my bad - in understanding the issue.
True, 3.2 works fine for me. But when I simply installed it, it was not recognized by VidBlaster when I tried to stream to a VidBlaster-supported CDN (e.g. Bambuser selection in the streamer module). In other words, VidBlaster did not realize I had installed FMLE, and instead asked me to. Means, did not work with VidBlaster (until I renamed the folder from ...3.2 to ...3.1

This problem of FMLE not being recognized by VidBlaster was fixed in the latest version, 1.27.
