Just uploaded, this is a X220 Laptop, which is a 12.5" laptop with an i7 2620m processor. This is only dual core, but still a lot of power.

Was able to verify the port will actually let me use a Shuttle capture card which is great. In the video above I used an iPad2 to get the source material.

This isn't the machine I have Vidblaster on so I havn't gone to install and try it yet... but if media express works that's a huge step for laptops being able to capture.

I know in the past Mike's had to deal a lot with trouble from their drivers (not his fault!), so I don't think I'm on the home straight yet haha.

Some quick photos of the actual laptop for an idea of size:

And next to a 17 inch Asus A1G73 (sp), and Asus 1005hap netbook:

Cool, thanks for sharing.

But

This is VidBlaster forum, so...

...could You test the Shuttle, the X220 laptop with VidBlaster?

- capturing
- streaming
- recording

in different resolutions.

Thanks in advance.

On the first rough draft, I had some troubles with the interface, that might get fixed because I was in a rush:
(all done using trial/studio mode)
- Camera 2:
Could not specify frame rate once I picked resolution, which meant that I could not have it choose the right mode of 720p @ 60 fps. Could not use that camera at all.
- Camera 1:
Seemed to work, but I couldn't save video which I thinks expected? So wasn't able to test cpu usage. I'd click record in the recorder module, but the timer would not increment. If I were to click stop, it'll ask if I wanted to overwrite the last item since I hadn't saved. Clicking save bought no dialog up. I'll look into that further I guess. Havn't tried streaming yet, was going to set up wowza to do that.

Because of problems like that I havn't bothered measuring them. Has their been a tool to measure memory bandwidth utilization yet? That would be a bigger help for you guys than me just spouting off cpu usage numbers. It was doing 640 x 360 with no problems, but again I'll try again latter.
