Wondering if anyone has any experience with ClickStreamTV. They seem to have a pretty full offering for someone looking for a professional CDN that offers PPV, VOD, etc.
Any war stories?

No, but their prices don't look encouragingly.
I have to check soon Amazon Cloudfront. Another good news (for me): it looks like it's finally available for Europe users (servers in Ireland).

Hi Tom,
What's your budget like for a CDN or Live Streaming Platform, we can give you whatever you are looking for to live stream your event... I don't use any of the streaming platform and I have 24/7 live streaming contents...
check my site out at www.fusionplustv.com/live

We have just been approved to use Android market and this also means you can use Google Checkout, which we will try to use as much as possible in the future.
The idea is of course to make it possible to keep as much as possible of the hard earned cash from a LIVE broadcast.

PayPal does not provide the secuirty support needed for a series of PPV broadcasts. Some sort of token system is needed I believe to prevent unpaid users from gaining access to the broadcast.
Actually, ClickStreamTV can use the PayPal Gateway and allow PayPal to process the payments.

PayPal has the tools to have it...you need to communicate with there system of course. There is a lot of work involved.

Your webpage must be like a web shop.
Your customer add the subscription to the cart, then clicks "pay" and he is redirected to paypal. He pays and paypal sens info to your system that customer "x" paid for subscription "z".
Once your (logged in) customer clicks to webpage with your paid content, the system checks if his subscription is active. If so - he can view the show.
On your paid show webpage you just insert the code provided by Your CDN.

Tom
Have you checked out TikiLive (http://www.tikilive.com/index/see/how-it-works#how-it-works)? They have a pretty good package, including PPV and VOD. I gave them a good look for our webcasts.

No - I did talk to them about their services.
With Penn State moving to varsity hockey in 2012 we're in a holding pattern about our video platform, so I didn't commit to using their streaming service.

Understood. Will varsity knock you out of broadcasting?

Hope not - you'd think after 9 years they'll keep me. Not knowing is not fun.
