Sorry for my English. Has anyone thought about using a notebook EUROCOM Panther 2.0 http://eurocom.com/? Today I asked the manufacturer about the possibility of adding OSPREY 460E. This may be the perfect solution for mobile broadcasts.

Alexandr, that machine does not have any place to put the Osprey 460e card (PCIe x1). It does not even feature a PC-express slot for expansion boxes. Sorry.

This machine has space for 4 hard drives. Osprey 450 (460) takes up less space.
This notebook has a desktop component.

I don't believe that it's possible to insert quite big PCI-Express card into the laptop.

Maybe extending Mini PCI-E outside laptop case...?

A nestor express card to pci express box would be a great solution for that laptop (notebook). I considered that exact computer, but I built a new Sandy Bridge Core i7-2600K based tower.

Sure, but there is no express card slot in Eurocom Panther 2.0 (http://eurocom.com/products/showroom/specselectnew.cfm?model_id=214) (or I missed it..?).

There is an ExpressCard slot on the Panther 2.0 that will allow you to use a Nestor external PCI-e enclosure for your video capture card. install the capture card in the Nestor box and you will have an external capture card. Search the forums for the nestor box to make sure it is compatible with your capture card.

Steven, are You sure? I don't see any express card slot in its specification >> (http://eurocom.com/products/showroom/specselectnew.cfm?model_id=214)

About Netstor... I have one and I started a thread about it (http://forum.vidblaster.com/showthread.php?t=1523) :) And about compatibility with Osprey 450e. I will update this thread at the end of the week, hope I will have some good news.

I was mistaken, the Panther 2.0 does not have an expresscard slot which is very surprising.
The new and updated revision of the Panther 2.0, the Eurocom Panther 3.0 does have an ExpressCard Slot according to Eurocom's website: http://web.eurocom.com/ec/ec_GetReleaseB(90) :)

The updated Panther 3.0 should be released very soon.

The Eurocom Panther 3.0 Server On-The-Go is currently available from here (http://eurocom.com/products/showroom/specselectnew.cfm?model_id=221). It includes an ExpressCard Slot and 2 * USB 3.0 ports and is available with Windows 7 installed, but its only available with an Intel Xeon Processor.
Let me know what you decide about the Panther 3.0 because I had an Alienware version of the Eurocom D900F Phantom (powered by an Intel Pentium 4 desktop processor) and loved it (except for its weight). Unfortunately, Alienware replaced it with a less expensive laptop powered by a mobile processor after I had some (overheating) problems with it. Remember my old alienware was purchased in 2005 and it was the first generation of laptops that included a desktop processor and chipset (the Panther 3.0 should be the fourth generation of desktop replacement laptops).

read the specs carefully please, the expresscard slots are internal.

The Eurocom panther 3.0 server-on-the-go model does have an Expresscard/34 slot which is an external slot for expansion cards. It does also have internal mini pci-e expansion card slots, but they are not the same as an expresscard-34 slot which is an external expansion card slot. I have 2 expresscard devices for my current laptop: a tv tuner and a esata hard drive controller.
From Eurocom's website:

PC Card Slot(s)
PC Card Architecture/Chipset : PC2011
# of slots/Type/Voltage: ExpressCard/34 (JMC251C)
Internal miniPCI # of slots/Type: 2; 1 for WLAN, 1 for Turbo Memory or TV Tuner

ExpressCard Slot for External PCI Express Devices
