When I output to an external monitor that has a different resolution (don't ask why), the video correctly retains the aspect ratio and creates "extra" space on the external monitor, i.e. pillaring/letterboxing. The pillars work fine - the video is centered with extra black space to the left and right. However letterboxing doesn't quite work as expected - it puts the video at the top of the screen and all the extra space is at the bottom. I don't actually mind this (although true letterbox would be nicer) but the problem is that the extra space is white - would it be possible to make it black instead?
Cheers,
Dave
