In screen capture mode. You need a setting to allow the vidblaster application to cover up the capture area initially highlighted aka
I want the background imagae area streamed.
This will help those of us trying to minimize travel gear. When I am home and have multiple monitors so its no sweat but I have to really smash the vidblaster control window down when traveling with a laptop to get single skype video call highlighted.
Hi Mike
Vid blaster can capture the windows desktop but can't capture a single windows.
Can you add a option for capture a single window program, for exampe :
I open a program and configure to VB capture only this window program when it is in a background ?
I have a Visual basic program for statistics and other realtime video info and I want streaming this.
Thank you

I've done research on this and while it is possible to capture a hidden window, there are exceptions:
1. a window that is minimized cannot be captured
2. anything that is written to a hidden window via directx (often this is the case for video) cannot be reliably captured.
In other words, the way VidBlaster captures (part of) windows now is the only good way. I could add another way but it would have several limitations, the window cannot be minimized and you can't grab video from programs like skype or oovoo. There may also be a price of additional CPU usage, but I can't confirm that right now. And of course it cannot replace the old screen capture, so there would have to be 2 capture methods..
As this is a lot of work I'd like to know if you still find this an interesting feature, even with these limitations.
After some more research I found out that even the method that partially works is not very useful, as it is not 100% reliable for video. I do not want to introduce a feature that by design has a bug (as Windows simply offers no reliable way to do this) so I am closing this request and will concentrate on improving the current (reliable and stable) way of screen capture. I guess you will have to buy a laptop with a bigger screen, or bring an extra monitor :)
