optimal size = global video resolution

Everything that does not fit is auto scaled.

Hi, we're having problems trying to make our PNG recognized by the system. We're working at 320 x 240, PNGs were originally 320 x 260 and they didn't show up in the video overlay window. Resized them to 320 x 240, and they now show up on the Overlay window but when clicking on 'ON' they don't refresh on the programme window.

Any clues about the exact type of export settings needed for the PNG files'

Thanks.

HI,

We just found out that exporting in RGB + ALPHA, the png file is instantly recognized by VB.
Thanks

One thing to experiment with that seems to work quite well for me. Is to double the resolution of what you plan to stream at for your overlays. I took broadcast at 320x240, so all my overlays I create are 640x480.

Test it out and try both versions, you'll probably find that using the 640x480 PNG files tend to look much more crisp than the smaller versions.

HI djWheat, what you expose makes sense. We'll try and do that next time we need to create subtitles/graphics for our live streaming projects and see how it goes.

I tried making new graphics and when I went to select them, they showed up "grayed out", meaning a bright blue graphic displayed as grey. Is this because I am still using the trial version?

Trial version displays the graphic in the same way as any paid version does. Are you creating a PNG file with a alpha channel? What s/w are you using to create the graphic?
