I have v1 license key and I upgraded to v2 with free upgrade last November without any issue.
Now I changed some hardware and VidBlaster v2 needs to be re-activated. The activation bot gives me the message : "Unfortunately your Activation Request cannot be processed because a free upgrade is only possible for licenses less than one year old. You can however renew your license at a discount."
Am I still entitled to free upgrade to v2 as I bought v1 within one year of v2 release, or I have to pay for an upgrade?

Thanks Mike, but I am stuck at step #6. The Activation Robot doesn't want to give me an activation key saying a free upgrade is only possible for licenses less than one year old.

Your link says "If you bought VidBlaster and version 2 came out within a year of your purchase, you can upgrade to version 2" :
I actually purchased Pro (Upgrade from home) version on October 23rd 2010 and the first v2 beta was released June 27th 2011, so I should be eligible for upgrade, right?

Actually that is not correctly formulated, I rewrote that post a little to better reflect the upgrade process as stated in the software and the download section. Please read it again. So in your case, if you upgraded before October 23rd 2011 you would have received your new product key at that time.

Actually, I did, but it only gave me a new activation key, not a new product key.

Now, it got dis-activated somehow after I changed my Windows HDD (Not same HDD model) and the request code is no more the same.

On November 1st 2011 at 20:45 UTC you upgraded and received your product key. Please check your emails so I do not have to do it for you. Thank you.
