Just curious where my downfall is...I have an idea it's the laptop, but hey, you never know.
Problem: Using VIDBlaster Home (trial), the program window has what I'll call pixelation. It's hard to describe, but imagine you wave your hand across the screen in front of the camera and what you see is your hand and then horizontal lines around the moving image. The faster you move the more there are. The preview window for the same camera doesn't show this, or doesn't appear to in the small window. It doesn't appear to matter what resolution the program window is set to, it's about the same no matter what. And consequently, it ends up in the recorded product.
Camera is an older Sony DCR-TRV720 connected via firewire or USB either way, same result. http://www.docs.sony.com/release/DCRTRV720.PDF
Laptop specs:
HP Pavilion dv9230us Notebook PC
1.66 GHz Intel® Centrino® Duo mobile technology featuring Intel® Core ™ 2 Duo processor T5500
Cache 2MB L2 Cache
2048MB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 256MB (discrete)
Hard Drive 200GB 5400RPM (100GB x 2) (SATA)
Are there any settings that I can tweak to try to alleviate this problem?
Second question: What settings should be used for output, preferably to make a DVD for viewing on a TV? I didn't see any of the 525 line res settings.
Thanks in advance.
