for some reason in vidblaster my web cams are doing face tracking. i have it set to off in the cam software. how can i fix this?

I have seen that happening too at times. It's not something I am doing, so has to be a bug in the camera's software. Or it's a "feature" that they reset everything on program exit :) You could try finding a more sticky setting, or searching for an upgrade.

Meanwhile if you can send me brand and model of the camera, and the version number of the driver, I will see what I can do about it from my end.

ok i have a :

QuickCam? Ultra Vision AND
QuickCam? Pro 4000 with the latest drivers from the web site. i will get you the version numbers shortly.

these are from logitech.

Both have the same problem, face tracking off while the Logitech soft runs and on in VB?

nope the software is not loaded not even as a TSR

ok the ultra vision driver is v11.5.0.1145
the pro 4000 is v10.5.1.2023

ok did not know because i have not used it in a while. been using webcam max till this is resolved.

Found a way how to fix it (the default is face tracking on oddly enough), and implemented it in the software I am working on right now for quick testing. You may want to give it a try, it's implemented in the AV Client module available in the next release of StudioRack. If you aren't already, you need to be a think tank member to be able to download the program. I plan to release it this week. Eventually I will implement this in VidBlaster too but that may take a little longer.
