In order to save CPU efficiency, I record in uncompressed mode and the output of the record module goes to the internal hard disk. It could be a good idea to can choose where to send the output of the record module, so we could record on an external and more capient hard disk.

By the way, does Vidblaster always record uncompressed at first and the compress after you have chosen what codec to use?
Is this temporary file a standard video file playable by regular players? (in case of problems when converting)

Johan

+1 for this feature. My primary drive is a SSD with limited capacity.

I would buy vid blaster if it only recorded to external disk at 72x480 resolution better yet, stream multigraph video and record 720x480 at the same time.

Ric, I moved your feature request as it was already asked. As for 720*480, you can already record in that (read this (http://vidblaster.com/forum/index.php?topic=233.0)). If you have more questions about that, please open a new topic.

Hello,
When using the recording module we see the available time based on the main hard drive our server uses and we are presented with the option of where we would like to save the video when the recording is complete.

Our server has two hard drives, the secondary one for much larger data (recordings of events from the Flash encoder, etc...). This hard drive is much bigger and we were wondering if we could use IT as the scratch drive in order to record longer events.

I am assuming this is how the Recording module works but didn't currently see a way to change the scratch disc in the module settings.

We love the product and we hope to see this feature in the future.
Thanks!

I also would like to able to change the volume / folder...

And It would be nice if it was possible to do the compressed on a later "date" so you can record al the data in a uncompressed file format.
And when you have done all the recordings, you can leave the machine on at night and it will compress all the videos...

Better up make it as a external software... so you can have in on a diffrent machine... ;-)

BTW Thanks Mike for a lovely software !
