Hi,
After 4 months of hard work I am finally ready to release the next beta of VidBlaster. If you've been following my progress you know a lot has changed in VidBlaster, and at the same time not much has. The outer shell has not changed much, some new features have been added but at first glance all you will notice is a slight change in layout.
Internally however, a lot has changed. I won't bore you with the details, but the end result is the VidBlaster I always imagined: easy, simple and WYSIWYG. The recording is now made live, which also means that when you click Stop, the recording is done and all you need to do is save it. Depending on the format you choose, this can be instant.
You will also notice a shift towards more professional use. I have been talking a lot to potential professional users of the program, and besides the need for a Studio version which I will discuss another time, it soon became clear that you really need to let go of any bonds between video and audio. So the program has been redesigned and video and audio now follow seperate tracks, and you really need a mixer to be able to use it. When you do however, the possibilities are endless (yes Adam, I know..).
Although this version is a work in progress, you will be able to record some cool looking videos, or even stream them live to the internet. As this is a trial version, the recording time is limited to 5 minutes. There are no other limitations. Some items are greyed out but that's because they have not yet been implemented or sufficiently tested. This trial version allows you to play with both the Home and the Pro editions of VidBlaster.
You can download VidBlaster v0.23 beta from http://vidblaster.com/download/SetupVidBlaster.exe.
Have fun, and please send me as much feedback as you can!
Thanks,
