Any surefire ideas on how to make the Intensity Pro work consistantly with VidBlaster?
For a while I could get it to sometimes work but only if I had VB's resolution set to 320x240. Now I don't see anything. If I click 'info' on the panel for the Intensity one thing I notice is that it's always in 25fps mode now. But outside VB & inside VB I've got it set for NTSC (all set for Composite in, Standard Def NTSC). Works fine in Wirecast for the most part, works in Blackmagic's aps as well.
Anyway, any specific tricks to make this work reliably in Vidblaster?
thanks,

Any updates on how to use these things?
Everytime I try to use a Decklink or Intensity these days it seems to always want to be at 25fps when I click 'info'. No way it appears to set an input's frame rate inside of VidBlaster. Perhaps a useful feature?
Since you can't set the proper frame rate, the decklink just won't send any video. Same issue with the Intensity's. So 2 Blackmagic cards that don't play well for no apparant reason. :(

Chris,
Have you upgraded to VB 1.06, yet? That might help.
Remember to uninstall whatever VB version you are currently using first.
Tom
The Intensity Pro works fine with VidBlaster, but its driver is rather "stubborn" (read: poorly written). Do a search to see what others did to make it behave better.

Using 1.0.6 (grabbed it and checked before my last post).
Still having issues, even after looking at the others comments. The issue is inside Vidblaster I can't find a way to set the FPS for the card. I do all the settings outside of Vidblaster (which is normal since BM's drivers suck and that's well known), but everytime I go into VidBlaster I get no video and when I click 'info' it always says 25fps. Which is one of the annoying 'gotchas' of these cards... they ONLY run at the 'proper' framerate for their input.
Now, this is all using Composite video in, It'll usually (but not always) work if I tell it HDMI or Component HD. Then if I switch back to Composite it'll sometimes (but not always) work once (FPS 30 is shown in the INFO tab). But that's it.. next time I enter it's not working properly again.
Any chance of having FPS be one of the settings? Or find perhaps something in VidBlaster that keeps sending the 25fps command to the Intensity? (I assume maybe there is some PAL default?? )

Ahh, I think I finally figured out a workaround. A little different then what I had to do in other apps, but this seems consistent.
Start Vidblaster.
Make sure the Decklink isn't selected in any camera view.
Open Media Express & pick the right input parameters.
Exit Media Express
Select the Decklink board in VidBlaster.
That seems to pretty much work. Damned annoying and I don't blame the vidblaster developers for not dealing with Blackmagic's stupidity... tho this *could* be solved by using their SDK... but it all depends I guess on demand from paying customers. :)

In your last post you stated "pick the right parameters". Can you help with a starting point?
Sorry, I'm having a little problem following all the info (in order) you have provided in your previous posts. :-[
I know you are using Composite in, to the Intensity Pro.
What are your settings in the Blackmagic Control Panel?
And what are your setting in the Media Express?

Have any of you had issues with Pixelation when using this card. I have tried every resolution and cant get it to go away with the card. Right now i stream at 640x360 and you can see pixelation lines going down the screen. Before it would go away when I would try a different resolution but not its always there.
