View Full Version : destination of temp files
i was thinking an option to while recording oto set the destination disk other then the default..
Temp files are created in whatever Windows designates as the proper folder. Why would you want to change that?

similar how premiere pro lets you chose the scratch disk. like a faster drive etc.... instead of the system drive for faster performance. that sound more precise?
Your Windows drive is not the fastest in your system? Since that's where Windows parks its temp files, and just about everything else, I'd make sure that's (one of) my fastest drives. But I'll keep this in mind. If anyone else has the same problem, join in.

say i want to add a sata drive. plus using the same drive the program is i thought is not efficient..
Unlike editing programs, VidBlaster uses real time compression. That means when recording the drive is hardly accessed. Therefor the speed of the hard drive should have no noticable effect (assuming it's a drive worthy of the system you use), certainly not compared to the effect of processor speed.
So again, I see no need to implement this function at this point. I will however keep it in mind.

Well the simple fact of being able to record to wherever you want gotta be a simple bit of programming and its what ever other program out there has... You know.. when one mouse gets a mouse wheel, then you gotta put a wheel too... (HAIL THE MIGHTY MOUSE) But yeah I am still only playing with your Trial, since your trying to kill me to get the pro version.... if I were to use it to record, which i dont, i just rather stream. But really I guess recording my streams would be cool too, id like it set so I dont have to go find the file later and then drag it into some archive of all my shows. So i do my show, its recorded in the folder full of all shows and go to bed. lol ;-D
