Hey Beta Testers,

Mike and I have been having a discussion about when VB should convert the video clips. Currently the clips are converted when they are played during the recording. This is OK for low resolution clips, but when higher resolution clips are used, the video may lag behind the audio in the recording display if your PC is not fast enough. This is OK because the final recording is just fine. However, if a newbie experiences this, he may think that something is wrong with VB. An alternative is to convert the video when it is being loaded into the VB player. Mike points out that this could take quite a bit of time. It could be annoying, especially if you are loading a one hour video to play just a two minute spot out of it. The other option would be to put a checkbox on the Clip Open dialog box. Checked would mean the clip should be converted at load time.

What do you think? Please take the following poll and let us know. If you have any other ideas, please post them here.

Thanks!
