In our sports broadcasts we will use a series of overlays to create the score bug, display our logo, display our client's logo, and display other graphics. Sometimes we will have as many as 5 different graphics on screen at one time, each one building on top of the other. And depending on the game, we would change the score and make other adjustments to the graphics, hence we can't combine all the graphic elements into one graphic.

When it come time to switch from live action to a commercial, it takes five clicks to remove all the overlays. When the commercials are finished, five more clicks to restore the overlays. Sometimes we are careless, and forget to turn off one overlay, so it sits there on top of the commercial like a school boy who walked into the teachers' smoking lounge by accident. Quite out of place. (Do they still have smoking lounges for teachers? They did when I was in school.)

It would be a great time-saving feature to just make one click.

Could there be an Overlay Module that could combine a series of graphics, maybe like the new playlist feature? Or a new module where the source of that module would be a combination of Overlay Modules?

This was mentioned a while back.

The Idea of an Adjustable Overlay Modual is really intriguing. One that perhaps allows for a score to be adjusted at a football match, or scores to be put up one by one at a dance contest. How it could be achieved though is a curious one for me. A playlist would certainly do it. Maybe a overlay modual which points to a list of overlays or graphics in a sequence (back to front priority) and that could be selected and deselcted and then cut or trans to the updated playlist. So the overlay could be running static off a group of images in the playlist and the playlist could be edited and the overlay modual wouldn't do anything until told to update from that modual revide list. It definitely has my vote.

On a slight side note, could we have the modual adapted for animated gif's, so display them all animated and have an option to freeze the last frame? Just an extra thought.

i think this is my interest ... i'm very new on this, sorry!!! and the english ... bad ...

i'm a multimedia worship lider ... and we use program as easislides (i'm looking the presenter4) to show the lyrics on a multimedia projector ...
now we intend to have a layer with processed video (on vidblaster) and have a overlay with any of this programs ...
i understand i can capture screen to a module, and we have a overlay module but this is static ...

the question ... will be able to have a overlay from a dinamic module .... the legends receveid on a module with solid color manager on another pc, and overlayed on the program/stream.
