I am getting absolutely horrible video recordings when I record the video during a live stream. The video ends up being choppy and framerate is unacceptable. What can I do when I click Record and Save Uncompressed vidblaster never records anything. Any tips here.. What I would really like to end up is with a high quality AVI file. Being I do a hour show I would expect the video file to be pretty huge 16-18 gigs.. I would then use a secondary program to encode it in the format I want.. Key here is I need a quality video that can get pushed to youtube.

I have a directors account there and am not limited in video length..

If you right click on the recorder you can choose to record uncompressed. WHen finished you choos to save as an AVI-file.

Regarding the quality. Can you give us some more information.

Computer spec.
Framerate and size of frame.
There is a windows that shows the CPU load. What does that show?

Todd, I assume you use laptop. Unless it's a Dell XPS or Alienware, keep in mind they won't be as powerful as desktops. Going to uncompressed recording relieves the CPU a bit, but makes the HDD work harder. Whether or not your system can cope with either solution depends on its specs and things like the video resolution you use. In addition to Jakob's questions, I'd like to add that you must make sure you have 1.07 or up (1.09 is still beta but seems stable).
