I installed the software, connected a cam and nothing...No picture under camera 1. Its a JVC Everio with a USB connection. Any idea what my next step is...
Thanks

What do you see if you click on the pull-down menu (small arrow) at the bottom of the Camera 1 window? You should see a list of video devices available on your machine. If your camera (or USB selection) is not there than VidBlaster doesn't see your camera.
In order for VB to see the camera it must be connected and ready to go before starting VB. You can force it to find cameras by selecting Camera in the top menu and selecting Number of Cameras and 1 (or 1 to 4 in the Pro version).
Another reason may be because the USB connection on your camera is not used for video. I believe some JVC camcorders have both USB and firewire (called 1394 or DV) outputs. USB is used to transfer pictures from the camera and firewire for video/audio. Check your manual to see what you have. Some camcorders that have USB but no firewire interface only transfer video/audio though AV cables (analog) and that would require an AV to USB converter to be used with VidBlaster or any other video capture program on your PC.
