Very pleased tonight.

I upgraded the graphics card on my little Dell Core 2 Duo tonight with a very pleasing result. This Dell uses MB / on board video. I installed a Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 4350 card in my one and only PCIE-16 slot. After disabling the on board video and instaling the new drivers, I streamed a video for about two hours.

Modules used
- Streamer
- Audio
- Program
- Player 1
- Player 2
- Video Overlay 1
- Video Overlay 2
- Video Effects 1

Generally with this configuration, VB uses about 40-50% CPU. With new graphics card, the CPU went to 15-20% consistantly.

Wow! I had no idea the CPU would be so unloaded. I just wanted to do dual monitors.

I was streaming old video from a soccer match last year at 15 fps and 320x240 over a sloooow DSL connection.

I am planning on tinkering with the build-in FME settings and set if I can't tweak a bit more our of the old Dual Core. Maybe try H.264 instead of VP6. I'll keep you posted.

As with everything, its test, test and retest! There are still a few silver bullets out there somewhere!
