I found a problem with screen capture and extended displays. When you select Capture Screen it always captures the main display. When you select Capture Screen Area and Vidblaster is in the extended screen, the extended screen grays out and you can select an area in the extended screen but the area captured is still in the main display.

I would suggest either
1) supporting extended displays or
2) don't support extended displays and force Screen Capture Area to the main display (don't allow selection in the extended screen).

Tom, I do not have a setup where I can test this. In the upcoming release v0.33 can you run VB in the extended screen and capture an area of it (as you describe above), close the program and then email me the log file?

Screen capture area? I didn't see that when I posted in the new thread on the 320x240 area issue. Maybe that's what it is/was? I'll have to go look for the area option.

I fixed this in v0.40 (upcoming release), but as there are so many ways to create extra monitors I would appreciate if you can test and report back to me.

Thanks.

What about being able to capture the Extended Display?
I don't see a way to tell VidBlaster to capture the Extended Display versus the main display.

You have to manually select the area on the entire screen, just as you would for a portion of the screen
