Whatever your do, never post your product key or your activation request on the forum! Someone can hijack your key and as a result you will loose your licence!
Do I have to purchase a separate licence for each of my PCs?
The single user licence is personal, i.e. registered to you as a person. The program can only be operated by the licensee. If you use two PCs, you are allowed to install and run a licensed copy of VidBlaster on both machines as long as you are not running both copies at the same time. If more people use the program, you need to obtain licences for every additional operator or acquire a desktop licence. The desktop licence is for a single (virtual) PC, i.e. it should not be installed on multiple machines. It does however allow multiple users.
Can I rent out a system with a VidBlaster licence?
This is only allowed if you order a desktop licence.
How long is this limited licence valid?
If you do not activate within 30 days after entering your product key, the temporary licence will expire and your software will revert to the trial version. You can however always activate the software, even after the licence has expired.
Can I transfer the licence to someone else?
No.
I lost my VidBlaster product key
Your VidBlaster product key was emailed to you when you ordered your licence. If you lost your emails too, then go to www.shareit.com (http://www.shareit.com), click Buyers|Customer Service|My Account to retrieve your licence. If you lost your login data for your ShareIt account, contact ShareIt customer service, explain your situation and ask for instructions.
I can't seem to register the program
Registration is done by entering your product key (the program will ask for this). Your VidBlaster product key was emailed to you when you ordered your licence. If it is not accepted you are making an error while entering (always use copy & paste) or you are trying to enter an old activation key. I can't seem to activate the program
After entering your product key (the key you receive after ordering the program), a dialog will appear asking you to activate the program. Note the activation request text in red, starting with VidBlaster;... Copy this text, paste it to the body of an email message and send it to activate@vidblaster.com. You will receive the final activation key by email within an hour. The entire registration process is of course also explained in the program's Help. My Activation Key is not accepted
There are 4 possible explanations for the rejection of an activation key:
1. You entered the activation key or the activation request manually and made an error. Always use copy & paste.
2. You used an old activation key, or an old activation request. Make sure you get a new activation key by sending in the current activation request on screen.
3. You generated the activation request on a different machine as where you are now entering the activation key, note the key will only work on the same system.
4. The Installation ID (your computer's hardware 'fingerprint') has since changed, possibly by a hardware change, HDD format etc. You can verify this easily by comparing the activation request string on screen, with the one you sent earlier. If it is different, send in the new activation request.

I'm still waiting for my activation key!
Are you sure you sent the activation request according to the instructions on screen to activate@vidblaster.com? If so, you will receive a reply within an hour. If you did not get it, the email either never arrived or (more likely) ended up in your spam filter. Add CAR@mikeversteeg.com to your spam filter's whitelist to make sure activation emails are received. If still unsuccessful, try another account with a different ISP as some ISP's block the emails at server level. The activation robot refuses to give me more activation keys!
The activation robot (CAR) keeps track of how many activation keys you request over what period. If the number of activations in a certain period gets too high, it suspects foul play and blocks activations for up to a year. Under normal operating conditions, even when using 2 computers, you should never have any problems obtaining activation keys.
How can I activate VidBlaster if the PC does not have internet?
Copy the activation request to a device with email capabilities and send it to the activation robot. Upon receiving the activation key, copy that back to the PC with the VidBlaster install and paste it into the registration dialog.
How do I move VidBlaster to another computer?
The procedure is the same as when making your first install:
1. install VidBlaster
2. enter the product key
3. activate it (i.e. obtain a new activation key and enter it) only if you plan to use this computer for more than 30 days.

Can I get a discount? Can you donate the program?
Sorry, but no. Unlike general misconception writing software takes a lot of effort and time and I need to make a living too. But feel free to use the trial edition!
Can I get a refund?
No. The trial version is fully functional and gives you full and unlimited oppertunity to try out the program for free.
Are upgrades free?
All upgrades within the same major version number (e.g. 1.xx) are free as well as the upgrade to the next major version number if it is within one year of purchase date.
