Hi there,
I'm trying to use VidBlaster to record & broadcast live events with Adobe FME.
I have ran into 2 questions:
1) Does VidBlaster support 16:9?
2) In FME 2.5 I see and can use the VidBlaster video source, but I don't see any VidBlaster source for audio. Is that possible?
Thanks,
Justin
1) VidBlaster only supports 4:3 at this time. Mike is working on a 16:9 version which should be available soon.
2) VidBlaster only supplies the video for streaming. You should use an external mixer into your computer and use Line Input as the FME audio source.

Actually I just finished a 2 hour live test using anamorphic 16:9. It'll be in the next release.

Actually I do include audio if you stream to a WM server. If you stream to another streaming client however, only the video is passed on and, as Tom says, audio is taken directly from the mixer (no need to run it through VidBlaster, although you can still use VidBlaster to control the volume and read the peak meter).

'Available soon' wouldn't happen to be by this Thur would it?

Version 0.33 has been released and the Pro version supports 16:9. The home version now supports up to two cameras (including screen capture) and streaming.

Thanks!
If you use FME and can't get widescreen to work, redownload the VidBlaster installation file and use that.
