I am together with the fantastic programmer Ljuba Brkic developing a Flash player that simultaneously plays two live streams. In this case we were sending the main stream from Vidblaster to one Bambuser channel and a second stream with a sign interpreter to another Bambuser channel (using a second PC also running Vidblaster). Resolution for the main stream was 720x406 25fps (Broadcaster v 1.19) and the second 384x288 25 fps (Professional v 1.17). You can see a short demo at http://www.blip.tv/file/3870185
Now when trying to make an offline version of the player we have an issue with key frames. We would like to fast forward/reverse and control the position in the video. But it seems that the two archived flash streams might have different settings for key frames. So, it's impossible to move both streams to the another same point in time (since "seek" in flash action script only find key frame positions). I am not sure, the problem may be on the Bambuser side or simply that the two live streams were started at different times. So, the question (which can probably only be answered by Mike) is how Vidblaster set the key frame when streaming to a CDN like Bambuser? |

I do not think using this approach you can ever get the key frames on the same position, as the streams are (obviously) totally independent. Repeat the experiment with the VVD & FMLE and you can see all settings (and change them if you so desire).

I think you are right (they are independent). Even so, does Vidblaster specify any key frame setting when FMLE is used for CDN:s?

No, it uses FMLE's defaults (see my earlier reply to find out what they are).
