Hi Mike
Is possible to get a hand clapping video from you ? ( You do it so nicely )So we can se that it's not only when you use the player module... This was done in 1.10 ? And the obvious question then is, when... Thanks for the wonderful work you put in to VidBlaster !

Hi guys
Yesterday I let a professional editor look at Mikes test file (the spiderman clip) on a Final Cut Pro system. He said the testfile was in sync. When I asked him to move the sound 5 frames, he said "this is even better". :-) Itīs hard to see a 5 frame problem when itīs not a person talking and when you donīt have a copy thatīs in sync to compare with. I have seen the problem in four different machines and with editing aswell as compressing to flash. I have tested material from Lill and Alain and would be happy to look at any material from any of you guys. Please have a look at my testfiles. I added Alains file today. (If you donīt want it there Alain, tell me). http://informationdesign.se/vidblaster/ JAKOB

Daniel, I can't use a camera as I could be introducing a potential sync error, that's why I used this video.
Jakob, I am surprised you say it is 5 frames off as that is 100 ms and I've always been able to see that amount of error. And it surprises me even more that your professional editor could not see the error. As I said earlier, maybe there is a bug in FCP (would not surprise me considering it is Apple software importing a Windows format). Taking all feedback into account, for now I am considering this bug fixed. You can experiment with it to your heart's content when I'll release v1.10. |

ok. Iīll test 1.10.
Just to be clear. This has nothing to do with FCP or Mac. I have the same problem on my PCs and even when just encoding the WMVs to Flash in Adobe Flash Encoder. I have put two versions of your file on my testsite. Itīs actually quite hard to see which one is right. :-) JAKOB

OBSERVATION:
Even in lip sync, I noticed miniscule difference in any clips on the site. If I may, not being a computer programmer, but more a video producer? I tested a USB mixer, lousy at best. Went to Behringer hard line and worked fine. Secondly, There seemed to be no, noticable difference in the audio/video sync unless, that is the producer is using the program for something other than streaming video. My question? Is this a gaming thing?

Mike
I have now tried 1.10. I still get a sync error (audio 3 frames late) when editing or encoding wmv-files recorded in Vidblaster. I have tried two different vidblaster machines and two NLEs (Spony Vegas Video and Adobe Premiere CS4 installed on two different machines). The Quicktime-file saved from the same recording is in sync. Please let me know if you want me to show you my results. JAKOB
